Whether you’re going out out, or simply fancy a few sips with your lunch, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to cocktails in Enniskillen – and there are choices to suit every taste.

Searching for the best cocktails Enniskillen has to offer? We have you covered…

Magees Spirit Store

The premium one

The cocktails in Magees Spirit Store, (a friendly local pub located right in the centre of Enniskillen), are certainly some of the tastiest sips in the town and in recent years the venue has secured a reputation locally as serving up some of the best cocktails in the area.

Every drink is expertly made with fresh ingredients – and the team regularly come up with unique twists on the classics. Their mouth-watering new summer cocktail menu is a case in point. (Head to their Instagram to check out the pics.)

If it’s good craic and a lively atmosphere you’re after, then Magees is where it’s at. On weekends, they’re open late and have a DJ upstairs.

Menu highlights: You’ll find Aperol Spritz, Pimm’s Royale, and Rose Sangria on their summer menu, along with all the classics you know and love. Look out for their flaming cocktail specials too – they’re seriously impressive.

Granny Annie’s

The lively one

A well-known bar and restaurant franchise across Northern Ireland, famous for its quirky décor, Granny Annie’s is one of the livelier bars in Enniskillen town, boasting live music and big crowds on the weekends. On a busy Saturday night, it’s not uncommon to see local revellers enjoying a jive.

As well as a generous cocktail offering, Granny Annie’s has an a la carte menu. Line the stomach with simple yet tasty dishes such as salt and chilli chicken, peppered beef burgers, and crispy chicken goujons.

Menu highlights: You’ll find all the usual suspects on this menu, such as Pina Coladas, frozen daiquiris, and brambles, as well as a few of Granny Annie’s unique cocktail creations. Our pick?  Granny’s Surprise: a mix of Amaretto, strawberry puree, melon liquor and cranberry juice.

The Firehouse

The ‘enjoy it with a meal’ one

Since opening in 2018, The Firehouse has established itself as one of Enniskillen’s most popular eateries – and for good reason.

Their menu is full of delicious treats like The Firehouse Special, a tasty wood-fired pizza topped with rump steak, and their homely Beef Ragu.

If you’re popping in for an evening meal or a boozy lunch, their bespoke cocktails are the perfect way to wash down your meal.

Menu Highlights: The Firehouse’s cocktail menu is an impressive mix of popular picks (like French martinis and brambles) and one-of-a-kind creations.

There’s Colada Swizzle, a blend of house rum, coconut cream, blue Curacao, pineapple, citrus, and bitters, to tickle the taste buds – or if you fancy something truly unique, try The Diamond: a smooth mix of banana whiskey, Benedictine, black walnut, and stout syrup.

There’s something for everyone on this inventive menu.

Boatyard Distillery

The gin lover’s one

If you’re a gin enthusiast, the Boatyard Distillery, situated about 15 minutes away from Enniskillen town centre on the shores of Lough Erne, is not to be missed.

The fully operational gin distillery hosts regular tours where you’ll not only learn how the spirit is produced but get to try the saintly sip for yourself.

On the tour, you’ll enjoy neat gin tastings and get to sample at least two of the distillery’s signature gin cocktails.

Menu highlights: There’s the classic Gin and Tonic, made with a measure of Boatyard Double Gin, and a gin-based martini, for those who like a classic. You’ll also find Behind The Painted Screen, a mix of Boatyard Double Gin, Dubonnet Rouge, Campari and Kummel.

Other highlights include Pendennis Club, a gin and apricot brandy-based cocktail, and Tuxedo: a potent mix of gin, vermouth, orange bitters, and absinthe.

M Lounge

The Instagram-friendly one

With a dark, moody interior and sleek modern furnishings, there’s a touch of class about this Darling Street cocktail bar. Don’t let the dark colour palette put you off; there’s something cosy about this unique space too. Semi-circular booths give it a warm, welcoming feel, while the luxury lounge seating makes it perfect for big groups and small groups alike.

Outside you’ll find an inviting beer garden space for those warm summer evenings too.

Good news if you’re feeling peckish after a few jars: M Lounge has a delectable light bites menu that includes moreish savoury selections, including wings, skewers, and – our personal favourite – a charcuterie board.

Menu highlights: You’ll find all the classics on this extensive cocktail menu. Think espresso martinis, pornstar martinis, mojitos, and more. If it’s a deal you’re after, the bar regularly runs cocktail promotions too.
