Here are just a few of our favourites…
Café Maud’s
This ever-popular spot is a firm favourite with locals and serves up delicious food that will please your tastebuds and your wallet.
Their budget-friendly menu includes a wide selection of tasty wraps, paninis and sandwiches, moreish pizzas, and – for the sweet tooths out there – Belgian waffles, sticky toffee pudding, and salted caramel brownies for dessert.
A popular franchise across Northern Ireland, Mauds is also known for its creamy ice cream, so don’t forget to grab a tub to go on your way out.
The Bees Knees
Cute, quirky, welcoming. These are just some of the words you could use to describe The Bees Knees café on Townhall Street. A newish addition to the town, it’s always abuzz with hungry diners eager to try their vegetarian-friendly delights. (Don’t worry, there’s plenty for meat-lovers too.)
As well as all the usual suspects like sandwiches and salads, The Bees Knees also serves up some wonderfully unique specials like stuffed potato boxty with grilled chicken mushroom and onion, and spiced cajun wedges with soy lemon glaze topped with melty cheese.
Menu favourites include breaded local scampi and creamy goat’s cheese bruschetta. You’ll also find an array of sweet treats in this quaint little café.
The Street Kitchen
The brainchild of local chef Marty McAdam – who recently appeared on BBC 2’s Great British Menu – The Street Kitchen has been making waves in Enniskillen since it opened in 2021.
Marty and his team have a reputation for creating unique takes on classic dishes – and in some cases coming up with dishes that are completely in a league of their own.
On their most recent menu, you’ll find Eggs Benedict with a Street Kitchen twist, bao buns topped with glazed pork, chilli jam, Asian-style rice, and The Marty McMuffin.
It’s enough to make your mouth water.
Bridie’s
Situated in Pat’s Bar, Bridie’s is a relatively new addition to the town, following a refurb of the much-loved venue. Their Instagram-friendly décor makes it a must for locals and tourists alike.
On their lunch menu, you’ll find classic soups, salads, and sandwiches alongside tasty dishes like beef khobez, turkey Rueben, and eggs jambalaya.
Their carefully curated cocktail menu means you won’t be short of a tipple to wash it all down too.
Consider yourself an early riser? Bridie’s offers a brunch menu from 9 until 12 and serves up brunch classics including avocado on toast and granola.
The Jolly Sandwich
This family-run café on Darling Street was recently voted Fermanagh’s favourite coffee shop by Belfast Live readers.
As the name suggests, you’ll find plenty of freshly made sandwiches and wraps at this establishment, along with loads of hearty hot food offerings like chicken and roasted vegetable bake, quiche, and cottage pie.
The extra good news? There are plenty of homemade traybakes and other treats to satisfy your sugar cravings too.
The Buttermarket
This beautiful craft and design courtyard is home to a dozen or so local businesses from art galleries to jewellery stores – and it’s also a peaceful and picturesque place to grab a light lunch.
Rebecca’s Coffee Shop has indoor and outdoor seating and serves up barista-brewed coffee and home-y classics like lasagne and salads. There are also tasty traybakes to sink your teeth into.
Afterwards, why not take a stroll around some of the local art galleries?
Crowes Nest Bar & Bistro
You certainly won’t go hungry in this homely and welcoming establishment – one of Enniskillen’s oldest pubs.
The Crowes Nest serves up big portions of delicious food and offers a menu of crowd-pleasers. For your starter, you can chow down on tasty eats like salt and chilli squid, goat’s cheese tartlet, and Caesar salad.
When it comes to the main course, you’re spoiled for choice with bacon and mushroom carbonara, traditional tex mex, pan-fried salmon, and steak burgers all on the menu.
