For some, the thought of pitching a tent and sleeping under the stars is closer to punishment than it is to any sort of rest and replenishment, while others love nothing more than getting back to nature.

If you fall into the latter camp and are planning a visit to Enniskillen, you’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of opportunities to camp, glamp, or caravan.

County Fermanagh’s unique beauty lends itself to an abundance of camping, glamping, and caravaning experiences, whether you want to green-bathe in one of our beautiful forests or fall asleep next to the water’s edge.

We’ve rounded up a few of the best camping, glamping, and caravanning offerings in and around Enniskillen.

Get packing!

Campsites & Caravan Parks

Castle Archdale

Castle Archdale has everything you need for a fun family holiday. Situated 10 miles outside of Enniskillen, this expansive country park was once an RAF base and is now home to a campsite and caravan park on the water’s edge.

As well as stunning scenery and unrivalled views of Lower Lough Erne, the site has a castle and tea rooms, a play park for the kids, and boat and water toy hire.

After pitching your tent on the grounds or sleeping soundly in one of the site’s luxury caravans, you can rent hydrobikes, canoes, and more.

Blaney Caravan Park

Eight miles outside of Enniskillen, this picturesque caravan park is also nestled on the shores of Lower Lough Erne.

Resting in Fermanagh’s beautiful unspoiled countryside, the site has pitching spots, mobile homes, caravan spaces, and Shepherd Huts – a luxury home inside a shipping container that’s kitted out with all amenities.

There’s lots to see and do in around the park, from walking, hiking, and fishing, to watersports and golf.

Crom Campsite

Crom Castle is set on a stunning 2,000-acre wooded estate and has loads of woodland walks to enjoy.

There are 17 pitches on the water’s edge offering campers fantastic views of Upper Lough Erne.

This peaceful spot is home to lots of local wildlife and is a must for anyone looking for a tranquil, lakeside retreat.

While there you can take a walk around the castle, hire a boat, or simply take in the views. If it’s luxury you’re after, you can upgrade to one of the site’s recently added glamping pods.

Drumhoney Holiday Park

Set in 110 acres of private parkland and offering panoramic views of Fermanagh’s stunning scenery, this holiday park is known across the county (and beyond) for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

The site was awarded five stars by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and has loads of amenities for you to enjoy, including a huge playpark, football and basketball pitches, a games room, wooded walks, and more.

There’s a little something for everyone here.

Share Discovery Village

The Share Discovery Village, situated in Lisnaskea, around 25 minutes from Enniskillen, is one for adventurers and thrill seekers.

The 60-acre site is set on the shores of Upper Lough Erne and offers camping, caravanning, and self-catering homes.

Whichever accommodation type you choose, you’ll have access to everything you need: think showers and laundry facilities, as well as two outdoor play parks, a lounge room, and pool tables.

That’s not all. The Share Discovery Village is an ideal spot for family activity holidays and provides water adventures, land challenges, and arts and crafts activities, from banana boating and canoeing to archery, mountain biking, and balloon crafting.

For an extra charge, you can access the leisure suite too. It’s complete with a swimming pool, fitness room, sauna, and steam room.

One thing is certain: you won’t be bored here.

Glamping In Enniskillen & County Fermanagh

If you’re the type who’d sooner stick pins in your eyes than pitch a tent or stay in a caravan, but you like the idea of glamping, then Enniskillen has plenty to offer.

In recent years, glamping pods have sprung up across the county.

Rossharbour Resort

Rossharbour Resort, about a 35-minute drive from Enniskillen, is the perfect getaway for anyone who loves a little luxury.

The picturesque resort offers beautiful views of Lough Erne and even has its own beach. While there you can stay in one of their luxurious lakeside cabins or lodges.

These quaint little glamping pods are decked out with everything you need to switch off and relax and each one has views of the Lough and the Lough Navar mountains.

Outside your cabin, you’ll find a private hot tub, patio furniture where you can relax, and a communal sauna that overlooks the lough.

There’s a bistro and bar on site too.

Carrickreagh Bay

These luxury glamping pods are situated on the Lough Shore Road against a backdrop of exposed rock.

Overlooking Lower Lough Erne, they offer beautiful views of the water and are nearby to boat hire facilities – and the Carrickreagh Jetty is just a short walk away. You’ll also find the peaceful Ely Lodge Forest nearby. This 250-hectare has hiking trails for you to explore.

Inside the modern glamping pods, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay, including an ensuite shower room, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a fridge.

Out front, you’ll find a tranquil sitting area, a picnic table, and a campfire and BBQ pack.

Finn Lough

Finn Lough is a must-visit for anyone looking for something a little different. If you’ve ever dreamed of sleeping under the stars (without getting bugs in your hair) then you’re in luck.

Finn Lough is home to Bubble Domes, a unique bubble-shaped lodge that’s completely transparent.

Tucked away in peaceful woodland, the domes offer 360-degree views of Fermanagh’s flora and fauna and offer an opportunity to get back to nature.

If that’s not enough RnR, there’s also a forest spa on site. Nestled in natural woodland, it comprises a Finnish sauna, hot tub, and relaxation room.

Finish off with a refreshing dip in Lough Erne.
